About the Department

The department of Mechanical Engineering came in the year 1994. It is said to be a jewel in the crown of the college.It covers a range of subjects in UG namely Properties of Materials, Structural Design, Material Processing, Manufacturing, Heat Engines, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Industrial Management and Robotics. It also offers PG course in Manufacturing Engineering which concentrates on Nano-Technology,MEMS and Properties of Materials.The department possessess UG and PG courses which are permenantly affiliated to Anna University,Chennai and has a Research centre recognized by the university. The Department provides well-equipped laboratories with advanced machines and softwares like CREO and ANSYS. It has adequate infrastructure and state-of-art technical facilities in addition to dedicated faculty who are exposed to R&D .
